This isn't about the first time I played World of Warcraft. Nor is it about the last time, or any of the half a dozen times I quit forever. It's about this feeling I get when I come back to the game, as I have done, and have resigned myself to do over and over again.I've been playing World of Warcraft -- Blizzard's all-powerful, all-conquering massively multiplayer online roleplaying game -- off and on for more than a decade. I could tell you exactly how much time I'd spent playing, but for my sanity I'd rather not know. But I remember so much about playing this game.I remember being stuck with terribly mismatched armour on my hunter because anything better refused to drop. I remember discov...

In other words, don't be a jerk. Other signs said men had to wear pants, and women had to be in skirts. Most men were in shorts (it was over 90f/30c) and that seemed fine. Women, however, were asked to put on shawls (available for free at the entrance) and either fashion a skirt or shawl depending on what they were wearing. Let's block ads! بخوانید...

RoadshowNewsTrucksCome sail away in Ford's new F-Series STX packageEnlarge Image"You're Fooling Yourself" if you think this truck is for anyone other than a "Blue Collar Man."[groan] Ford I get mad when someone else takes a good idea for a headline. Ford used "STX Appeal" as the headline for its F-Series STX package, which is a decent one -- far better than the Styx joke I came up with. Leave the clever stuff to me, Ford. Where were we? Oh, right, the F-Series STX package. On the F-150, the STX is its own trim level. Most of it is aesthetic -- 20-inch aluminum wheels, a black grille, body-color bumper and fron...

I fell in love with music at a very young age. I can remember sitting in my parent's living room, listening to the crackle and pop that accompanied each new song, only to be replaced with a thumping drum intro or a sick guitar lick that seemed to leap from our Klipsch coer hos. This experience stuck with me through the introduction of cassette tapes, CDs and finally the current digital-music age. The convenience and quality of digital music is unparalleled, but with the recent resurgence of records -- and as any vinyl enthusiasts (and certain audiophiles) will tell you -- vinyl has a special sound that digital music just can't capture or replicate. I'm not immune to its pull; I've recent...

Worried you aren't getting enough exercise this summer? Don't just sit there: Clip on a fitness tracker and get going.Fitness trackers are wearable devices that deliver a stream of data about your workouts, like the number of steps you've walked or the total calories you've bued, and nearly all of them can sync over Bluetooth with your smartphone, letting you review these vitals while on the go. But once you have all that data, what's the next step? Many to choose fromYou have a lot of options for fitness trackers, but I'll focus on two of the most popular brands: Fitbit and Jawbone. Fitbit, which introduced its first tracker in 2008, sells its One ($100 in the US, £80 in the UK and AU$130 in...

Another big free update arrives for Doom tomorrow, July 29, and will be followed soon after by the game's first premium downloadable content. That consists in part of new maps, something that could be problematic for the game's player base, but developer id Software has a plan to avoid that.Typically when a multiplayer game receives premium DLC maps, it breaks up the user base--those without the DLC can't play with those who do have it except on servers only ruing the original maps. That will still be the case in Doom, but it avoids splitting up groups of friends. Through a feature id calls PartyPlay, Doom allows people who don't own the DLC to play on the DLC maps as long as they're in a pa...

[embedded content]The Manchester, New Hampshire, police department has hundreds of criminals on its official wanted list and it's hoping at least a few of them are hopelessly addicted to Pokemon Go. The police placed an enticing lure on Facebook over the weekend, telling followers a rare Charizard Pokemon can be found in the station's booking area. The Charizard, a dragon-like monster that breathes fire, is one of the harder Pokemon to find. Not just anyone can come to try to catch the elusive creature at the station. The post specifically invites anyone whose name is on the police wanted list to capture the Charizard. "Hurry before the Charizard leaves!" the police says. Other police depar...

The Polaris seen here is the first playable side-by-side buggy in a Forza Horizon game, and not a moment too soon. We love to love old. Throwback Thursdays. Flashback Fridays. '80s covers bands. Most often we love it for the novelty. It's fun, but ironic. Particularly with technology, it's rare that we see true value in the old. "Here's To Being Brave" challenges that. The short film follows an elderly man at the "Life is Beautiful" festival in Las Vegas. He's carrying a Walkman (you remember them, they were the original iPods). He looks lost, and a little lonely. But when he shares what's on the Walkman with other concert-goers, we see that even old technology can give us something beautiful.Watch the video below.
