As Respawn recently teased, Titanfall 2's upcoming open beta--or technical test, as EA is choosing to call it--will take place over the next two weekends on Xbox One and PS4.The first of the two weekend betas starts this Friday, August 19, with two modes and two maps available. The following weekend will still offer that same content, but with an additional map and mode added to the mix.Two new Titans, Ion and Scorch, will be available for use, along with Pilot abilities like Grapple, Holo Point, and Pulse Blade. Respawn Entertainment has aounced a new video series for Titanfall 2 called "Inside Development." As producer Drew McCoy explains in the introduction video below, this will be a series where developers speak directly to fans about the design decisions they made and the reasoning for them.One of the topics to be discussed in a future video is how Titanfall 2 will handle its servers, as this is changing "a little bit" from 2014's original Titanfall, McCoy said. Apple's newest version of its mobile software iOS becomes available today for a public test drive. Is the beta for iOS 10 worth it? I've been using it for a long weekend, with a preloaded version on an iPhone 6S provided by Apple. As always, going with a beta OS is a bit of a risky jouey on your everyday phone -- if you're curious, read Apple's FAQ and sign up, but I recommend you do it on a secondary device. iOS 10 does have a handful of things that make it worth trying. Following its release last week on Xbox One and PC, The Division's huge 1.3 update landed today, July 5, on PlayStation 4. It was originally pegged to launch on all platforms at the same time, but Ubisoft delayed it on Sony's system. Additionally, a new update for all platforms has also arrived, fixing some bugs.The new PS4 update does not, however, unlock The Division's Underground expansion. July 2016's free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers are available starting today, July 5. According to a new report, Sony's more powerful PlayStation 4, Neo, will launch before the end of 2016.
