Hi, I'm Liza Maloy, a product manager at CNET. Today I want to tell you about a project I've been working on: Photo galleries! As our Vice President of Product Jeremy Toeman mentioned in May, we are in the midst of a site redesign process. The updates to our front door and best pages are two recent wins (what, haven't seen them? go check them out!), and I'm excited to add galleries to the list!. Our amazing team of editors and photographers create galleries for everything, from technology shows, product reviews and our Road Trip around the globe to Pokemon tips, optical illusions, beautiful cars and Marvel characters, just to name a few. Behind the scenes, the engineers, designers, and I...

Mixing and matching. Deciding which combination of components sounds best to you. Buying new pieces of gear to fit into a system is one of the more enjoyable aspects of the AV hobby. Yet until now, no one has really thought to take this concept to tabletop speakers. But Sonic Blocks is looking to change that. The Sonic Blocks ecosystem is a unique entry in the wireless speaker sector, offering users the ability to customize almost every segment of the product -- from the sound, to the number of chaels, to the appearance, and finally to the role it will perform in your home. The kits start as a $399 cube, which comprises a "bass" driver, a flat-panel midrange and a soft-dome tweeter. Each panel...

No question, being shot in black and white fits "The Addams Family," the spooky monstrous crew from the 1960s sitcom. But when Zach Smothers took to his computer to colorize a clip for his YouTube chael Pop Colorture, the newly brightened show just leapt off the screen. "'The Addams Family' was produced by the same company that made 'Green Acres,' 'Petticoat Junction' and 'The Beverly Hillbillies' and they all had a very colorful, storybook quality," Smothers said. "I wanted to see what 'The Addams Family' would have looked like with that same color tone, and I think it tued out pretty good." He nailed it. Gomez is dapper in his blue pinstriped suit, Morticia's necklace glows like a drop...

Bowers & Wilkins will sell its Zeppelin Wireless speaker in a new white finish this August for $699 (£545 or AU$935). Bowers & Wilkins Wireless speakers come in all shapes and sizes, but the Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin Wireless took off in the marketplace last year, in no small part because of its distinct cigar shape and "glass fibre ribs" that reduced vibrations in the cabinet. Today, the company aounced a new white color option that will go on sale this August for $699 (£545 or AU$935), the same price of the original black model. The speaker features a large 6.5-inch subwoofer, decoupled double-d...

Thanks to the universal limitations of Bluetooth compression, most of the name-brand portable Bluetooth speakers actually sound very similar, so it really comes down to supplemental features and pricing for customers to decide which one to buy. If you're looking to add a soundtrack to your summer, now is the best time to pick up the original JBL Clip -- Best Buy just cut the price in half down to to just $24.99, which comes out to about £16.72 in the UK or $32.83 in Australia. The JBL Clip is a compact, hoc...

Enlarge ImageGik blue wine would fit right into the Star Wars or Star Trek universes. Gik Live Blue beverages hold a weird fascination for science fiction writers. Remember Luke Skywalker pouring himself a glass of blue Bantha milk back home on Tattooine? And the characteristic blue hue of Star Trek's Romulan Ale, which Bones McCoy only uses "for medicinal purposes"?Now cosplayers can quit waiting for Pepsi Blue to come back and indulge in a blue beverage of their own -- blue wine, made by Spanish winemakers Gik Live.As if the color didn't already clue you in, don't expect stuffy tradition from these folks."G...
