Thursday moing brought a new trailer for "X-Men: Apocalypse," giving us our longest look yet at the first mutant of the same name.
Played by Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens"), the titular mutant Apocalypse is seen rising and gathering his four horsemen and begiing his plan to end the world. We also get longer looks at Jean Grey using her powers (Grey is played by Sansa Stark, I mean Sophie Tuer); the villain's courting of Magneto (played by Michael Fassbender); and destruction of what I assume is the X-Mansion.
Jeifer Lawrence as Mystique can be seen leading the students of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters (read: mutants) into battle against the big bad. "Forget everything you think you know," she says. "You're not students anymore; you're X-Men."
The film also stars Olivia Mu as Psylocke and James McAvoy as Professor Charles Xavier. "Apocalypse" opens in the UK on May 19, in Australia on May 26 and the US on May 27.
