Hoffman worked on eWorld, Apple's early attempt at a social network, from 1994 to 1996. In 2000, he joined PayPal, which was bought by eBay two years later. Around that time, Hoffman co-founded LinkedIn, a social network for professionals that acts like your resume on the Web. He's since joined Greylock Partners, where he's helped fund some of the tech industry's highest profile companies including Facebook, Airbnb, Coupons.com, Zynga and Kongregate.
