The 16-zone, weatherproof Rachio Smart Sprinkler Controller replaces the existing controller for your sprinklers and coects them to your Wi-Fi. From there, the controller uses the weather forecast and local humidity data (and a rain sensor if you coect one) to automatically adjust its watering schedule. That could be pretty useful in some climates, especially if you're away on a trips a lot.

It also integrates with Amazon's Alexa voice control system, IFTTT and other smart-home favorites (see our first take), which could be useful if you've always wanted to tu your sprinklers off by yelling. Or tu them on unexpectedly. Because there are some kids on your lawn and they don't know how smart your yard is. You wouldn't even have to put down your beer. Hypothetical situation.
