The US Supreme Court on Monday sent back to a lower court a case that involves a people-search engine company with an inaccurate profile of the plaintiff.

Thomas Robins accused Spokeo of displaying a profile of him that was full of inaccurate information that "violated his statutory rights." A lower court ruling had sided with Robins, but the Supreme Court found that the previous decision failed to consider whether Robins suffered "concrete" injury because of the Spokeo profile, according to Monday's 6-2 opinion. The high court wants the lower court to re-examine the case.
