With Apple CEO Tim Cook currently in India, the company is making news in the country left and right.
On Thursday, the iPhone maker aounced it was opening a centre in Hyderabad, India, that will focus on development of the Maps app for iPhones, iPads, Macs and Apple Watches.
Apple says the new development centre will create up to 4,000 jobs.
It comes a day after the company said it will build and iOS design and development accelerator in Bengaluru, considered home to India's startup scene.
"The talent here in the local area is incredible and we are looking forward to expanding our relationships and introducing more universities and partners to our platforms as we scale our operations," said Cook.
Apple is hoping to increase its presence in the India, which is rapidly becoming one of the world'sfastest growing and most important markets.
