If you're struggling to save your cash for your holiday then the Pavlok wristband is the thing for you.

The wearable device can be linked to your bank account and will deliver a 255-volt shock to your arm when your account drops below a pre-set amount, the BBC reports.

"Willpower is great if you've got it - not everybody has," explained David Webber, CEO of Intelligent Environments -- the banking technology firm behind the prototype.

Pavlok, the maker of the hardware, has previously used its technology to help you get out of bed in the moing and to avoid procrastinating on the inteet.

So far, no banks have reportedly signed up to offer the band with its accounts so for now at least you'll have to figure out your own ways of controlling your shopping sprees.
