Tuing your Live Photos into shareable GIFs just got so much easier thanks to Google. Today the company released a free iOS app, Motion Stills, that allows you to do just that.
Motion Stills is an iOS app from Google that converts Live Photos into animated GIFs.
GoogleGoogle claims that the app stabilizes the camera movement of a Live Photo for a steadier shot with less visible shakiness. Once downloaded, the app doesn't need inteet access to work, just access to your iPhone's photos.
You have to create a Live Photo using the native camera app first, then use the Motion Stills app to convert them into steady GIFS (or video clips, if long) that can be shared via text message, social media, Slack, etc. The app also allows you to create short movies by stitching together clips.
