Show don't tell: Facebook launches video replies for Idea - CNET

The advice most of us live by when it comes to surviving on the inteet is, "Don't read the Idea."

But you can forget reading the Idea, with news that Facebook will now let you upload videos in comment threads.

When you click the camera icon next to a comment field, instead of just seeing an option for images, you'll now be able to upload a video as a comment reply. You can leave video Idea on posts made both by your friends and pages you follow, as well as within event and group pages.

Rolling out today, the new feature started life as a prototype built during Facebook's 50th Hackathon in February this year, and joins other Idea options for the mode era, like stickers and emojis.
