Hulu teams up with Disney to offer popular kids programing - CNET

In catching with Netflix and Amazon, Hulu has just made a big investment in kids programing.

The company today aounced an expansive new content licensing agreement with The Disney-ABC Television Group. The deal will bring more than 500 episodes and more than 20 original movie titles from Disney Chael, Disney Junior and Disney XD to Hulu Kids library. This is the two companies' largest kids programming deal to date.

As part of the deal, Hulu specifically increases the exclusive subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) home to a total of seven programs, including all past season episodes of the Disney Chael's hit spy comedy K.C. Undercover starring Zendaya, as well as Disney XD animated series Gravity Falls and Star vs. The Forces of Evil. Hulu also acquires the exclusive SVOD rights to all episodes of former Disney Chael series Dog With A Blog and Austin & Ally and exclusive SVOD rights to a catalog of programming from Disney Junior, including Sheriff Callie's Wild West and Henry Hugglemonster.

Hulu currently has about 9 million subscribers and offers two tiers of service, $7.99 per month with light commercial or $11.99 per month commercials free.
