Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have been baed from Beijing.
Beijing's intellectual property regulator has ordered the Cupertino-based company to stop selling the two older iPhone models in the capital city. according to The Wall Street Joual.
The design of the two models looks too similar to a rival product from Chinese company Shenzhen Baili and infringes on a Chinese design patent for the Baili 100C smartphone, the report said. The claim doesn't appear to affect sales of the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. The ruling does represent, however, the latest setback for Apple in the increasingly significant Chinese market and comes only a month after the company lost the rights to the "iPhone" trademark.
WSJ reporter Daisuke Wakabayashi tweeted that Apple had appealed the order, which temporarily suspends the band. CNBC reported that all Apple products are on sale in China.
Apple will is set to shut down production of both baed iPhone 6 models, according to the WSJ.
Apple did not immediately respond to our request for comment.
