Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile on Friday launched the K3, the latest in LG's line of affordable phones.
The $80 LG K3 will hit retail stores next week.
SprintThe two prepaid carriers, which are owned and run by Sprint, started selling the $80 K3 online today, with the phone hitting retail stores next week.
The phone runs on Android 6.0, has a 4.5-inch IPS touchscreen display, 1 gigabyte of RAM and 8GB of storage, a 1,940 mAh battery and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 1-gigahertz processor. It can work as a mobile hotspot and roam in Mexico.
The carriers note the 5-megapixel camera has flash and an HD camcorder, while the VGA front-facing camera can take selfies using face detection and hand gestures.
