Spotify now lets you customize your out of office message with songs related to where you are heading.

Spotify's new tool, Out of Office (OOO), is available to anyone with a Spotify account. The process is rather simple. OOO will ask you where you are going, your work email, whether you are traveling for work or pleasure and the mood of the trip. The playlist will select songs that are popular in the area you are traveling to. You can view all 25 songs directly on Spotify. The service also takes into account the mood you selected (relaxed, adventure, or party), so if you are not feeling the songs provided, you can get other music by simply changing the mood.

After creating the playlist, OOO lets the user select the start and end date of the trip, who's in charge while you are gone and that person's contact info. OOO comes up with a pre-made message that you can then paste in your email account and change it as you like. To hear the songs, the receiver will have to click on the provided link. This might just be the perfect way for Spotify to bring in more customers with no cost.
