New Mafia 3 trailer tells you all about the main character and his troubled past - CNET

2K today released a new trailer for crime game Mafia III, spotlighting main character Lincoln Clay's story. This trailer, titled "The Soldier," is the first in a series of videos that will focus on an important character.

As you'll see in the video, Clay grew up as an orphan and was raised streets of New Bordeaux, which is Mafia III's take on New Orleans. He became an outlaw when he fell in with the black mob and eventually took off for the Vietnam War. When he retus, he discovers the Italian mob -- led by gangster Sal Marcano -- has wiped out Clay's friends and associates. Naturally, he wants revenge, and taking the Italian mob down in 1968 is at the heart of the story.

In other recent news about the game, 2K has announced there will be more than 100 songs on the soundtrack, including "The House of the Rising Sun," "Paint It Black" and "All Along the Watchtower." Another trailer used Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Bo on the Bayou."
