Everyone is seemingly jumping the bulging Pokemon Go bandwagon with a dating app, a potential feature film and now a messaging app in the offing.
Gaming manufacturer Razer has announced its new RazerGO app for Android, iOS and inteet browsers which enables users to chat with other users based on a set radius. It sounds like another dating app, really.
The radius can be set from between 5 km/3 mi. (local) to 1,000km/600 mi for roadtrippers. Users can toggle between public, team or whisper modes and can be identifiable by team color. Razer says users will also soon be able to drop "Beacons" on the app's own map to unlock a localized chat room.
Razer says that the apps and website will go live sometime today (July 20) which is timed to coincide with Razer's first "Guided Pokecrawl" tonight.
The Pokecrawls will begin at the RazerStore San Francisco around 6PM and will include promotions in the store as well as Lures for Pokemon Go users.
