Japan issues Pokemon Go safety guide ahead of game's launch - CNET

Pokemon Go is expected to arrive in Japan any day now, and the country's National Center for Incident Readiness and Strategy for Cybersecurity has sent out a safety guide, to hopefully stop any Pokemon-related accidents before they occur.

The guidelines were published via Twitter and messaging service Line, Reuters reports, and wa of the risk of heat stroke while catching Pikachus under the midday sun. They also advise against wandering into dangerous areas while playing the game -- which is frankly good advice whatever you're up to.

The mobile game has already proved a bona fide phenomenon across many parts of the world, but is yet to actually officially launch in Japan -- the birthplace of Pokemon.

Such has been the game's engrossing popularity in the US, UK, Australia and other countries that reports of players blundering into danger have become commonplace. Recent Pokefails have included crashing into a parked police car and wandering off a cliff.
