Izumo-taisha, a Shinto shrine located in Japan's Shimane Prefecture -- argued by some to be the oldest Shinto shrine in the country -- has outright baed the playing of Pokemon Go on its premises.
The shrine, made a National Treasure in 1952, released a statement to its website following the game's release in Japan on Thursday.
It comes after the Holocaust Museum had to ask people to stop catching Pokemon on its premises. The Auschwitz Museum in Poland had to do the same, CBS News reports.
Included in the shrine's post was also a note prohibiting the use of drones, indicating visitors don't always use new technology respectfully.
