Moment Editorial/Getty ImagesIt's been a busy week for Yahoo, following its reported acquisition by Verizon. Now, the company's upgraded messenger app has launched on Windows and Mac desktops, Yahoo announced in a blog post.
First made available on mobile in December 2015, the desktop version brings over new features designed to streamline sharing and interaction with friends.
Features of the upgraded platform include the ability to 'unsend' sent messages if you hit enter a bit too hastily, drag and drop image sharing and, much like chat platform Slack, the ability to search for animated .gifs to include in your messages.
If you were still using the old Yahoo Messenger desktop app, it's definitely time to upgrade, as the legacy service will be shut down on August 5.
