Phillips on Monday unveiled a new health platform and ecosystem of products to empower consumers to take greater control of their overall health. The healthcare company isn't targeting fitness buffs, but rather consumers at risk for a chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, heart disease and high cholesterol.
As of today, the four products are now available for purchase on the Philips website. The fitness tracker, which includes all-day activity, sleep and heart-rate tracking, is available for $250 (£190, AU$330) while the smart scale can be picked up for $100 (£75, AU$130). Meanwhile, the ear thermostat costs $60 (£45, AU$80) while the upper arm blood pressure monitor can be had for $100 (£75, AU$130) and the wrist one for $90 (£70 , AU$120).
All the information recorded by these devices can be viewed and analyzed in the Philips HealthSuite app. The app gives users the ability to track nutrition, view activity data and weight trends over time, and receive personalized insights and motivation to better help them achieve their goals. It also provides guidelines from the World Health Organization for ideal body fat and blood pressure levels.
The Philips HealthSuite app is available now for Android and iOS. It requires at least one Phillips health product for use.
