Ti-tillating: Icona Vulcano is the world's first titanium-bodied supercar - Roadshow

A quick walk through the Geneva Motor Show will put you in front of a number of booths manned by small companies looking to build small-batch supercars. They're impressive, but not all of them actually make it to market. One such car, the Icona Vulcano, has become a production version, and while it's expensive, there's something to be said about owning the only titanium-bodied supercar in the industry.

The Vulcano made the rounds at Pebble Beach last year, prior to becoming a proper running vehicle. Now that it moves under its own steam, it's set to be shown off at Salon Privé in England at the beginning of September. That's the perfect crowd for the Vulcano, as most folks won't be willing to spend €2.5 million ($2.78 million) on a car.

But for that money, you earn the right to the first titanium-bodied supercar in the industry. The body finish is striking bare metal. Its design language focuses on triangles, which are everywhere once you start looking. It's rocking a pretty traditional supercar style, but it doesn't look like a carbon copy of anything else.

The interior is unlike most other small-batch cars in that it's actually kind of nice looking. It features a 12.3-inch configurable display, a carbon fiber racing seat, and yet another screen replaces the traditional gauge cluster. It also has air conditioning, because we're not savages and that's not really a performance-car deal breaker anymore.
