When I see people taking pictures with their iPads -- especially at concerts -- I'm not positively disposed toward them.
There's something a touch heartening, therefore, to see that dolphins might feel the same way.
For here is footage from SeaWorld Orlando in which a woman tries to take a picture of a dolphin with her iPad.
The dolphin may or may not have been amused.
What's clear, though, is that the aquatic (and acrobatic) mammal leaped up and grabbed the iPad.
The iPad, with its little pink cover, got wet.
The woman appears to have retrieved it, but not before it might have suffered permanent damage.
SeaWorld didn't respond to a request for comment.
Kuadiel Gomez, who shot the video, told Fox 13 that even though he has a season pass (people go to these places more than once?), he'd never seen something like this happen before.
Some might mutter that it's about time.
iPad photography can block the view even more than phone photography.
People bury their faces in them, as if they're reading a book or ¡Hola! magazine.
For its part, the dolphin seemed to think it all quite funny.
Unless, that is, dolphins smile and frolic around when they find you frightfully annoying.
