Some athletes at the Rio Olympics have taken swipes at competitors from other nations -- but that's not the only swiping going on.
The 11,000-plus athletes competing in the 2016 Olympic games have given Tinder's Brazil business a big boost. Matches in the Olympic Village have increased by 129 percent, Rosette Pambakian, VP of Global Communications & Branding at Tinder, said to the Associated Press.
It appears such activities weren't totally unexpected. The Olympic organisers prepared 450,000 condoms for athletes to use, according to the publication. That truckload of protection is also likely a precautionary measure following waings of the Zika Virus, which can be sexually transmitted, spreading through the region.
