Fugitive used wanted poster as his Facebook profile pic, say police - CNET

The Stuart police were looking for Yearwood in connection to an accusation of battery.

They thought it might be a good idea to check out his Facebook page to see what they could find. And there they say they found an image of Yearwood in a wanted poster from another Florida jurisdiction, Citrus County.

A spokesman for the Stuart Police Department told me he wasn't sure why Yearwood had displayed the wanted poster.

However, Sgt. Heather Rothe told WPBF-TV: "I did chuckle, yes."

It seems there were two outstanding warrants in total. This, police say, encouraged them to go to Yearwood's brother's house -- where the alleged battery victim had told them he was staying. Yearwood was there and they arrested him.

"While he was taken into custody," the police said on Facebook, "he asked to put on a pair of jeans that were located on the floor beside him. Mr. Mack must have forgotten that his bag of marijuana was still in the pocket."

That brought him a possession charge too.
