Excellent! Practical insight to everyday life
This book helped me to understand how my husband gives and receives love. It really gives you a way to understand someone else and begin to recognize that they may be expressing love when you think they are being a pest. Once I "heard" what my husband was saying to me by asking me to help with certain tasks around the house, I knew his language was acts of service. I began to "speak" love to him in this way and things improved. I realize my language was words of affirmation when, as a musician, I kept longing for him to say something positive about my performances. We're still working on that, but things are much better!
Changed My Life
This book seriously changed my life! I cannot express in words how many sleepless nights I have spent contemplating the mysteries of love. This book really spiced up my life and showed me what I really want to be. I learned that friendship never ends and you have got to give. Taking is too easy, and that's the way it is.Hallelujiah and amen brother.
Great wood to build a wonderful bridge
My husband and I listen to this book together, and it bridged a major communication gap. I have a better understanding of my husband’s idea of love, and he has a better understanding of mine. Which allows us a safe base to work off of. I’m able to use what I learn from this book with others in my life.
