Most anticipated tech of 2016 - CNET

Last year, Apple released the iPad Pro and iPad Mini 4 -- but there was no new iPad Air to be found. Now, if the rumors are to be believed, we'll finally get the iPad Air 3 in March, unveiled with the aforementioned iPhone 6C/5SE/SE.

Early indications -- all unverified -- are that the Air 3 will be similar to a smaller iPad Pro: 4 speakers, Smart Coectors (for attaching peripherals like keyboards) and (presumably) compatibility with the Apple Pencil stylus. The latest rumors also point to a 9.7-inch screen and a name that specifically associates it with the Pro line, rather than another Air.

One way or the other, we should know by mid-March.
