Whatever your opinion is of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's politics, we can all agree his hair is an object of fascination. It sits atop his head like a mesmerizing Muppet creation from "The Dark Crystal." It's not just US voters who can't look away. A famous Japanese inventor was inspired to create a special wig for Trump.
According to RocketNews24, the special wig is known as "mamori kami" in Japanese and contains metal and a coiled strap hidden inside. You hold one end of the strap and fling the wig at your attacker. It may be one of the most bizarre martial arts weapons ever conceived.
The wig looks to be a pretty good approximation of Trump's famous 'do, though the bangs could stand to be swept back a bit more.
Nakamatsu goes by the nickname Dr. NakaMats. According to the Smithsonian Magazine, Nakamatsu had 3,300 patents as of 2012. Perhaps his biggest claim to fame is the venerable floppy disk, a type of computer storage now mainly relegated to the history bin. The Smithsonian notes that Nakamatsu's invention is subject to some debate, with IBM laying claim to the floppy disk's creation.
Doubters may never be convinced, but Trump famously invited a supporter to approach him and tug on his hair to prove it is attached. Imagine the surprise if an enthusiastic voter grabbed a handful and discovered a weaponized wig instead.
