What the Most Successful People Do Before Breakfast: A Short Guide to Making Over Your Mornings—and Life (Unabridged) - Laura Vanderkam

Description Mo ings are a madcap time for many of us. We wake up in a haze—often after hitting snooze a few times. Then we rush around to get ready and out the door so we can officially start the day. Before we know it, hours have slipped by without us accomplishing anything beyond downing a cup of coffee, dashing off a few emails, and dishing with our coworkers around the water cooler. By the time the workday wraps up, we’re so exhausted and defeated that any motivation to accomplish something in the evening has vanished. But according to time management expert Laura Vanderkam, mo ings hold the key to taking control of our schedules. If we use...

Vinyl record buyers are old and lonely, says new study - CNET

Happy National Vinyl Record Day!You might assume millennials are the ones lining up on Record Store Day to drop coin on the latest special edition, 180-gram, splatter-paint record of the month, but you'd be wrong -- at least in the United Kingdom.According to a new study by market research company YouGov, UK music fans between the ages of 45 and 54 are actually more likely to hit record stores in search of vinyl. By contrast, the study found 18- to 24-year-olds are least likely to purchase vinyl, suggesting last year's sales explosion could be attributed to vinyl nostalgia rather than discovery. The study also unearthed two very bleak statistics that are depressing enough to make any collector reconsider this hobby: 56 percent of vinyl buyers tend to keep their feelings to themselves and 6...

Vinyl records are popular again, and here's how they're made - CNET

I fell in love with music at a very young age. I can remember sitting in my parent's living room, listening to the crackle and pop that accompanied each new song, only to be replaced with a thumping drum intro or a sick guitar lick that seemed to leap from our Klipsch co er ho s. This experience stuck with me through the introduction of cassette tapes, CDs and finally the current digital-music age. The convenience and quality of digital music is unparalleled, but with the recent resurgence of records -- and as any vinyl enthusiasts (and certain audiophiles) will tell you -- vinyl has a special sound that digital music just can't capture or replicate. I'm not immune to its pull; I've recently invested in a new tu table and sound system and have actually started buying vinyl again. And no...

Who leaked that 'Suicide Squad' song? Reddit has answers, record label says - CNET

Atlantic Records is on the hunt for whoever leaked a song from the "Suicide Squad" soundtrack, and it's demanding Reddit help to find the culprit, according to TorrentFreak. Sometime around June 15, the song "Heathens" by Twenty One Pilots was uploaded to dropfile and leaked to the band's subreddit, a forum made by Reddit users to discuss the band.
