Canon's new $3,500 5D Mark IV, introduced Thursday, adds a new variety called dual-pixel raw that lets photographers fine-tune focus after a shot was taken. The biggest surprise is probably the result -- but a close second would have to be the emergence of Lindsay Lohan as an unlikely voice of expertise when it came to Brexit.Over the course of 22 tweets, Lohan revealed herself as a passionate advocate of the UK remaining in the EU and quite thoroughly versed in the issues at hand. Ron Johnson, Chair of The Committee on Homeland Security and Govemental Affair, sent to Facebook CES and founder Mark Zuckerberg.The letter requests Facebook provide all data on the gunman's "activities on his account and any affiliated Facebook accounts, including but not limited to activity logs, Facebook timeline information, Facebook messages, photos, and posts."According to the letter, on June 12 the day of the attack, Omar Mateen searched for "Pulse Orlando" and Shooting." After that he left chilling posts including "America and Russia stop bombing the Islamic state..I pledge my alliance to abu bakr al Baghdadi..may Allah accept me"... And his final post was "In the next few days you will see attacks from the Islamic state in the usa." These activities took place before and during the attack. The letter also revealed that in May 2016, Mateen used Facebook to search for information on the San Beardino terrorists and on June 4, 2016, he searched "Baghdadi Speech." Apart from the gunman's Facebook data, the letter also requests a briefing on the information available to Facebook prior to and during the attack. Twitter May I tell you a secret?My general experience is that if you ask someone to keep a secret, it's a fine way for that secret to emerge. You might think me twisted. You'd be right.I can't, though, understand why the American Diabetes Association would trust a whole conference hall full of people to not, well, tweet confidential information. As Bloomberg reports, the ADA was enjoying a conference on Monday in New Orleans. The attendees, many of them doctors, were there to listen to data about a new diabetes drug called Victoza.It's manufactured by Danish company Novo Nordisk. Rumors suggested Victoza might be a remarkable breakthrough. But such was the timing of this conference that the presentation of the data was occurring an hour or so ahead of its official unveiling to the public and those venal entities known as the markets.The presenters therefore asked very nicely for the attendees not to tweet about the information. You know what happened, don't you? You live a peculiar life too. As the presenters revealed the data to the hall, the data was being tweeted. And retweeted. And retweeted.The American Diabetes Association tweeted at the tweeters to please stop. Bloomberg quotes one tweeter, @LoenborgMadsen, as declaring: "Wow -- that was fast. Just got slammed for posting embargoed data from the session. Better stop :-(." That tweet has now been deleted.Neither Novo Nordisk nor the American Diabetes Association immediately responded to requests for comment.Sadly, the fact that Victoza allegedly reduces heart attacks and strokes by 13 percent and helps survival rates rise was thought to be a disappointment. Now, the same is happening to Twitter -- with the same people reportedly responsible.A Russian hacker, who goes by the name Tessa88, claimed on Tuesday to be in possession of a cache containing email addresses, passwords and useames of 379 million Twitter accounts, reports ZDNet. On Wednesday, LeakedSource claimed that the real number of accounts was just under 33 million. That's more than 10 percent of Twitter's monthly active users. Tessa88 is selling the database for 10 bitcoins, or roughly $5,810, AU$7,770 and £4,000, according to ZDNet. The publication also reported that the seller had links to the recent breaches of LinkedIn and Myspace. "To help keep people safe and accounts protected, we've been checking our data against what's been shared from recent password leaks," Twitter said in a Tweet on Tuesday. However, with an upcoming tour and no release date for a new album in sight, everyone's expecting "Lemonade" to provide some answers to what's next from Beyonce. (Like a clever, long-running inside joke on "Arrested Development," hints of lemons have been sprinkled in her Instagram photos for the past few months.) HBO knows the thirst for a new Beyonce album is real, so the premium cable TV channel will be free this weekend for non-subscribers to indulge in whatever Queen Bey has in store. Cord cutters can also watch it by signing up for a free month of HBO NOW.If Lemonade is a new single or album, it could drop on Friday (when new music is generally released), and that would give the record a healthy buzz before the HBO special. Beyonce's last record (dubbed a "visual album" because every song had a music video) basically established the "surprise album drop." This mysterious worldwide premiere could be a worthy follow up. No, not "thor."The issue came to light when indie band October Drift tried to promote their Scunthorpe concert on the site. Facebook's automatic thought police didn't get the drift. October Drift's transaction -- you have to pay to "boost" posts -- was denied, the band says.It's not that the word "Scunthorpe" is completely banned. It's that it can't appear in promotional posts, the band says. Facebook didn't immediately reply to a request for comment. Nor did it reply to the pleas of October Drift's Dan Young, he told the Independent. Wasn't the switch to "widescreen" TVs supposed to prevent all this? Well...yes and no. The problem is there's still often a difference between how wide a TV show or movie is, and how wide your TV is. Black bars get added -- to the sides or top and bottom of the screen -- so the TV show or movie can fit on your TV without bring cropped or stretched. Some people find these bars distracting, but they're a good thing.
